Ira James Craig
ROY – Ira J. Craig, 89, passed away at his home in Roy on Saturday, September 26, 2009.
He was born November 4, 1919 in Plum Creek, Nebraska, a son of James and Eleanor Austin Craig.
Ira married Genevieve Shipley on December 1, 1945 in Ogden.
He was a veteran of three wars serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Ira loved fishing and woodworking with his scroll saw. All who knew him admired his gardens.
Surviving are his wife, Genevieve, daughter, Sherrell Miller, Huber Heights, OH; sons, Clint S. (Barbara) Craig, Layton; Mike J. Craig, Mentone, CA; one brother, Ronald E. (Margaret) Craig, Sunset; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. We’ll miss you Grandpa!

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
