Ira J. Yeoman

Ira J. Yeoman, 80, of Clearfield, Utah, was called back to the Lord on January 27, 2013.

He was born in Hartford, Arkansas on March 7, 1932 the son of James Orlando and Jessie Leona Branham Yeoman.

He joined the Army and served in the Korean War.

Ira was married to Carolyn (Lynn) Pantle on May 15, 1955; they were married 58 years.

Ira worked as a Machinist for H.A.F.B. After retiring they moved back to Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing music with his wife and friends. He and Lynn enjoyed traveling to and from Utah with their truck and trailer to see their family and friends. They moved back to Clearfield 4 years ago. He was a witty man who loved to make people laugh and sing songs. He was a great story teller. He loved to be outdoors camping and spending time with his family.

Ira is survived by his wife Carolyn, his sons Ira J. Yeoman Jr. (Lillian), James Yeoman (Gina), Donna Anderson (Mike), brother Joe Yeoman (Ruth), his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ira is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.

The family of Ira J. Yeoman wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home and Bristol Hospice.
