Irene Mary (Robins) Fisher

June 18, 1945 — March 6, 2025

Irene Mary (Robins) Fisher passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at her residence in Layton, Utah. She was born on June 18, 1945, in Widness, England, the daughter of MSGT Lynn G Robins and Josephine M. Robins at the end of WWII. Irene and her mother, as a war bride, crossed the Atlantic Ocean on the Queen Mary for three weeks and then took the train from Ellis Island, New York to Ogden, Utah to be reunited with their father and husband.

Irene grew up in Roy, Utah in a white picket fence environment with such a wonderful family. At age 15, Irene won Miss Roy and went on during High School to win Miss Utah Junior Miss, Miss Ogden, and Miss Utah National Guard. Her friends she made in high school were always cherished and are still great friends today. They have helped her immensely through her last years.

She married Robert Lusby and had three wonderful children; Chico, Micah, and Robin. After they divorced, she later married Earl (Budd) Fisher.

Irene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Sunday School and was a teacher for many years.

Irene was employed in Retail Sales, where her warm personality and unwavering commitment to serving others shone brightly.

Her proudest accomplishments were moments spent with her children and family. She also loved decorating her home especially during Christmas , her favorite holiday.

Irene had some physical issues over the last few years but she gallantly fought to end.

A devoted mother, she is survived by her sons, Christian (Savannah) Lusby, Micah Lusby, grandchildren; Quinton Vongpanya, and Austin Vongpanya. Also her dear sister, Lynda Stepp, and her brother, Jeff Robins (Linda Rammell). Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl (Budd) Fisher; her daughter, Robin L. Lusby; her parents, Lynn G. Robins and Josephine M. Robins and her sister-in-law, Mary T. Robins.
