Irene Louise Kaminski
Irene Louise Heck Kaminski took the hand of her beloved husband, Emiljan, and joined him in paradise on April 12, 2010, just 10 months after he passed away. She was 93.
Irene was born on February 6, 1917 in Sperry, Oklahoma to Herbert and Susie Heck. Three siblings have preceded her in death, with her sister, Mildred Carlisle surviving her. During WWII, she worked for Boeing and while working in New Mexico, she met Emiljan Kaminski, a soldier in the Army, and married him on February 6, 1954.
Irene and Emil had four daughters while traveling the world during her husband''s military service. They eventually retired in Utah. She was a wonderful cook and took great pleasure in organizing family gatherings and made every occasion special. She was well known for her potato salad, baked beans, chicken pot pie and sweet rolls. She was a talented seamstress and made baby blankets, quilts and loved to make dolls and outfits for all the children she knew. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who encouraged us to follow our dreams and supported us in so many ways throughout our lives.
Irene''s greatest pride was her family. In her own words "Family is everything to me and my greatest desire is for them to love each other as I love them. Life is beautiful and I think fun."
Irene was a faithful Catholic and served in various positions wherever she saw the need. She will be dearly missed by the family she leaves behind... her daughters, Karen Kaminski, Puyallup, WA; Mary Kaminski, Sammamish, WA; Julia Ramirez (Jose), High Springs, FL; and Debbie Richardson (Jeff), Layton, UT, as well as eight adoring grandchildren; Adam, Caryn, Lucas, Kenton, Braden, Kaitlyn, Taylor and Emilee and two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Zachary.
We love you, mom! The family would like to thank the North Florida Regional Hospital and Nature Coast Hospice for their kindness during mom''s last days.
