Iris Vaneda Morley graduated from this life on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
Iris was born to Thomas James Morley and Vaneda Martin Morley on October 8, 1930, in Walnut Creek, California. She was the oldest of four children.
Iris grew up in Salina, Utah but her dreams took her many places throughout her life, making new friends and creating memories. While she was unlucky in lasting love, she was blessed with five amazing children. Her family was her greatest achievement and through them she leaves a lasting legacy of grit, determination, and strength.
Her grandchildren knew her by Granny, not the kind that sat in a rocking chair, but Go Granny Go! She wore this title proudly as life never slowed her down. She enjoyed skiing, tennis, gardening, cooking, and vacationing (especially cruising) throughout her life. She was the youngest 91-year-old you would ever know.
She was incredibly intelligent, and her bright mind never faded. This made her successful in every endeavor she pursued, including several business adventures. Her energy consumed any room she entered. People were drawn to her quick wit, funny statements, and honesty. Her beauty was like none other, she was truly unforgettable.
She is survived by her sisters, Deanna Davidson and Tamra Fisher; her children, Marsha (Mike) Black, Brenda Beck, Marlowe (Lesa) Beck, Shanna Cross, and Brigitte (Troy) Maddox; 14 grandchildren who adore her; and 35 great-grand-children.
A private service will be held for the family on June 2, 2022.
