Irma Lindberg

Irma (Renae) Lindberg returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father, while surrounded by her children, on Saturday, December 31, 2016.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Renae was born on May 2, 1937 in Aberdeen, Idaho to Marion and Helen Taggart Wride. Renae married Francis William Cleverley in 1954 and was sealed in 1968.  They later divorced.  On November 20, 1971, Renae married Noble Lawrence Lindberg, Jr. in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Spending time with Noble, her sweet husband and soulmate, was one of Renae’s greatest joys in life.  She raised 8 children, enjoying motherhood and the eternal friendships that developed on the journey.  She is remembered for her inquisitive nature, terrific sense of humor, and quick wit.  Renae loved people and was a friend to everyone.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She had a strong belief in God and a great love and respect for Him.

Renae had an affinity for nature.  She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and collecting rocks.  She was an excellent seamstress and cook, and she possessed impressive manual dexterity in her work.  She loved sharing the hobby of ceramics with her beloved sister and best friend, Larene.  As a girl she worked in her parent’s movie theatre and sweet shop, developing a love for movies, popcorn, and socializing.  Renae’s favorite holiday was Christmas.  She put a lot of love into gift giving, wrapping, and finding beautiful, thoughtful greeting cards for special occasions.  She loved family gatherings, listening to and telling stories, and holding her grand-babies.

Renae lived in several states across the country including Idaho, Kansas, Ohio, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah.  She also had the opportunity to travel abroad to London and Ireland.

Renae is survived by her children Cary (Genessi) Cleverley, Gary Cleverley, Joel (Susan) Cleverley, Alan Cleverley, Tamera (Bryan) Clark, Stephanie Cleverley, Chip (Angela) Lindberg, DJ Lindberg; step-children Bob Lindberg, Rick (Sally) Lindberg, Bill Lindberg, John (Nancy) Lindberg; 26 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings Larene (Lloyd) Nelson, Sandra Paulk, Dawn (Christina) Wride, Brent (LeRae) Wride, Wayne (Rose) Wride, Lanny (Toni) Wride, and sister-in-law Jeanie Wride.  Renae is preceded in death by her dear husband Noble Lawrence Lindberg, Jr., her parents Marion and Helen Taggart Wride, her brother Evan Wride, and her granddaughter Camille Cleverley.

Renae and her family are forever grateful to the Memory Care Staff of Chancellor Gardens for their tender loving care and friendship.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Aberdeen City Cemetery, Aberdeen, Idaho.
