Irma Beach Newell

Born January 27, 1910, Irma Beach Newell saw amazing changes in her lifetime.  Her strength and love were constant, never changing as she grew from child to woman, from Mother to Grandmother,  Great Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother.

Irma was born and raised in Moab, Utah.  The oldest of five children, she nurtured and cared for her extended family throughout her life.  She married Alden B. Newell on March 20, 1934.  They were blessed with two children, Patricia Ann Peterson and Allen Clyde Newell.  When Aldie retired, every summer was spent at their beloved cabin in the La Sal Mountains.

After Aldie passed in March, 1988, Irma moved to Kaysville, Utah to live with her daughter.  Surrounded by great grandchildren she stayed young at heart.  Her love again blessed and strengthened her family.  As often as possible, she would join her family at her beloved cabin.  She was the heart of her growing family.

Irma filled many lives with love.  As she shared the stories of her life of one hundred and four years, her charm and laughter lifted many. On June 16, 2014 she went home to be reunited with all her loved ones who had gone before.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kaysville 4th Ward Chapel, 875 E. 200 No., Kaysville.  Friends and family may visit from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.  Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Sunset Cemetery in Moab, Utah.

A special expression of gratitude , to all who have been a friend to our Grandma, she loved you and so appreciated your visits; and to all at Rocky Mountain Care who touched her life and loved her, she loved you and we are grateful for your kindness and service.

Isn’t it wonderful, Irma and Aldie are dancing the waltz again!
