Iva Lou Burns
July 22, 1941 to June 19, 2010
WEST POINT – Iva Lou Burns was born July 22, 1941 to Lou and June Gibbons. Heavenly Father brought Iva Lou back home on June 19, 2010. She is survived by her eternal companion Charles, daughters and son, Tami, Bruce and Sandi, one daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law and nine grandchildren.
She was a wife, mother, grandma, sister, florist, gardener, comforter, counselor, advisor, volunteer, teacher, game player, plus many more, but most of all, a friend.
Iva Lou served her Father in Heaven and the Savior while here on earth in so many ways, and just a few of them were in the Primary, Young Women’s, Relief Society, Stake Relief Society, Primary and Temple worker, and still so many others not listed.
If there was one word that can describe Iva Lou, it would be selfless because she always put others before herself.
She is missed already, but will never be forgotten because we may not remember everything she said or what she did, but we will always remember how she made us feel.
Services were held at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, Garden of Peace, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, on June 21, 2010.
Funeral Directors, Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
