KAYSVILLE a€" Iva Lu Beecher King, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born in Elba, Idaho to Cecil and Iva Udy Beecher. She moved from Elba to Heyburn to Lewiston, Utah and at the age of 14 settled in Farmington. Iva Lu graduated from Davis High School and went on to BYU. She met her sweetheart Rulon A. King and was married on December 6, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised five children in Kaysville on a dairy farm. Rulon will miss his precious and constant companion of 62 years for the long drives they always loved to take. Iva Lu was a homemaker, 4-H leader for sewing and horsemanship. She loved to paint, knit, crochet, sew and cook. Her family and friends will forever treasure all the handmade gifts. She proudly supported her children and grandchildren in all their activities, never missing a rodeo or ball game.

Iva Lu served faithfully during her life in many positions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She especially enjoyed serving with her husband as temple workers at the Bountiful Temple. She had a deep love for the Gospel, a strong testimony she bore often, and she lived her life accordingly.

Iva Lu is survived by her husband Rulon A. King, her children: Kay Lynn (David) Arnell, Vance (Kim) King, Brian (Andrea) King, Patricia (Eric) Burbidge, Brett (Jann) King, 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and her sister Marcelle (Jay) Welch.
