It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan Jeremy Hoppe, beloved son, partner, father, and friend, on November 25, 2024, at the age of 47.
Jeremy was born on March 20, 1977, and raised by his loving parents Ivan Brent Hoppe and Carole Barber Hoppe. He grew up in Davis County, Utah, and graduated from Clearfield High School.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Jeremy spent the majority of his career at Craythorne Construction, where his co-workers became like family. His love for life extended beyond work to his passions, which included baseball—especially the Yankees. Last year, he fulfilled a dream by attending a Dodgers game with his dear friends Jack and Jackson Manning, creating cherished memories.
Jeremy also had a passion for playing softball and found immense joy in supporting his daughter, Brecklyn, in her dance pursuits. Brecklyn, who has been dancing since the age of three, is now a senior at Ogden High and captain of her high school drill team, something Jeremy celebrated with pride.
Jeremy is survived by his father, Ivan Brent Hoppe; his long-time partner and the love of his life, Sarah Rasmussen; and his children, Parker Rasmussen, Kimber Rasmussen, and Brecklyn Talbot. He also leaves behind countless friends and colleagues who will deeply miss his presence.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Barber Hoppe, and his grandparents, Blair R Barber, Shirley Young Barber, Ivan Hoppe and Norma J Hoppe.
A celebration of Jeremy’s life will be held on December 8, 2024, at Union Studio 2501 Wall Ave., Ogden, UT. from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Craythorne Construction and the paramedics and medical staff at Ogden Regional for their care and support.
Jeremy’s love for his family, his passion for life, and the joy he found in the little things will be remembered forever.
