Ivy Jessie Dickson

LAYTON - Ivy Jessie Dickson, 95, went home to her Savior on April 10, 2009 after a long life filled with many blessings. Jessie was born Nov. 11, 1913 to Millard and Pearl Singleton in Trezevant, Tennessee. She married William Henry Dickson on June 30, 1932. They had one son, William Joseph Dickson. Jessie learned from Romans 3:23 at a young age she was a sinner and from Romans 6:23 that her wages for her sin would be death. However, she discovered from John 3:16 of God''s love for her as He gave His Son to die for her sin. She claimed the promise of Romans 10:9 and called upon the Lord Jesus for salvation. She enjoyed sharing her love for the Savior with family and friends. She was an active member at Kaysville Bible Church.

Jessie was preceded in death by her husband and son. She leaves behind two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter who love her and will miss her smile and words of encouragement.

The family wants to give special thanks to Elaine Alles and Kathy Landon, two friends that stayed faithful to visit Jessie week after week always bringing uplifting words, prayers, and chocolate!

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Kaysville Bible Church, 181 N. Flint Street. Viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
