“Terry”

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.  Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

J. Terrance "Terry" Cannon of Bountiful, Utah mercifully passed away on May 30, 2015 due to complications brought on from Alzheimer's disease.

Born  December 31, 1935 to Maurice Cannon and Ora Elizabeth Wallwork of Ogden, Utah.  He was raised in Worland, Wyoming from the time he was two years old.

He graduated from Worland High School in 1954.  He then attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.  He married Josephine Goodrich on June 4, 1963 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Terry loved the scouting program and was a life-long scouter.  He served in the West Spanish American mission which included parts of Arizona, California, and Mexico.  Twice he served in the bishopric of the Bountiful 30th Ward.  He worked for almost 35 years as an electrical engineer with Utah Power and Light, and CC&E Engineering before retiring.

He is survived in life by his wife Josephine, his children Laura Riss (Mike), Lisa, and Adam (Tammy), his sister Marlene Nichols (Dave), and brothers Kent, Burke (Barbara), Ron, Kevin (Devin), and Val (Susan).  He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Alexis, Peyton, Hailey, Josiah, Danielle, Trenton, Joel, and Emily.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

While we grieve and mourn, we do not despair.  Our beloved father, brother, husband, son, grandfather and friend will be fiercely missed but we rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again and he will tell us all that he loves us.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am,  Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Bountiful East Stake Center,  650 E. 2150 S.  Friends may visit family, Thursday, June 4, from 6 - 8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary,  727 N. 400 E., (because of construction enter from the South on 400 East and 400 North thru the barriers) and one hour prior to funeral services at the Stake Center on Friday. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation, or to a charity of your choice.
