J. Keith Olsen, age 83, died Feb. 1, 2013. He was born October 28, 1929 in Ogden, Utah to Albert Julian and Florence McFarland Olsen. He lost his father when he was young and he wanted to live on a farm and attend the county schools. He stayed with his grandparents and attended elementary grades in Farr West. He graduated from Weber High School and also Weber Junior College. Later, his mother married Rupert Peterson and he lived with them in Ogden. He married his college sweetheart, Vernona Murray on February 16, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they enjoyed 61 years together. They raised three fine sons. He made many friends and worked as a salesman selling automotive products throughout Northern Utah. He loved every animal on earth and raised many of them. He was very proud of his registered purebred Suffolk sheep. He loved working with his cattle and horses. He was a High Priest in the Harrisville 1st Ward. He had served as stake clerk, a member of bishopric, executive secretary, and financial clerk for three bishoprics. He was involved in community service as the director for the Weber County mosquito program and served on the Harrisville City Council. He is survived by his wife, Vernona; three sons, Ross (Sue) Logan, Murray (Janalee) Pleasant View, and Bruce (Bonnie) Harrisville; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. In accordance with Keith''s wishes there will be no funeral service. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends will meet with family on Tuesday, February 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 6 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
