Jack E. Belt

Jack E. Belt, 69, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his home in Roy,with his loving wife at his side.

He was born August 24, 1939 in Leiden, The Netherlands, a son of Jacobus Everardus and Wouterina Kleinjan Belt.

Jack married Jolene Barton on August 29, 1988 in Clinton, Utah.

He served with the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960.

Jack retired from Hill Air Force Base following many years of service as a printer.

He enjoyed cars, Nascar, and was known for his beautiful gardening.

Surviving are his wife Jolene of Roy; two sons and two daughters, Scott (Dana) Belt, Lorne (Stacey) Belt, Trudy (Larry) Smith, Myken (Eric) Auffhammer, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters, Robert (Donna) Belt, Alfred (Beth) Belt, Heber (Diane) Belt, Peter (Debbie) Belt, Rieneke (John) Vigil and Liz (Brad) Child, and many special nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jack in death were his parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
