LAYTON a€" Jack Stanley Christensen, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his home. He was born June 7, 1921 in Bear River City, Utah the son of John Wilford and Lola Lavon Anderson Christensen.

Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jack married Donna Mae Marsden on July 8, 1944 in Redondo Beach, California.

He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and animals. Jack enjoyed his yard work and spent a lot of time fishing in the West Yellowstone area where he lived when his family was young.

Surviving are his wife Donna, Layton; sons, Craig (Karen) Christensen, Auburn, CA; Rick (Pat) Christensen, Layton; Dennis Christensen, Verdi, NV; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brother, Sterle (Carol) Christensen, No. Ogden; and sister, Gaye (Val) Buckmiller, Prescott, AZ.

Preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, Merlin Anderson, and two sisters, Donna Harper and LouJeanne Hamilton.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 12 noon at the Bear River Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
