Jack N. Dockter SOUTH OGDEN - Jack Norris Dockter, 98, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in his South Ogden home from natural causes. He was born to George and Rosina Dockter on February 14, 1909 in Goodrich, North Dakota and was later raised in Rupert, Idaho, on a dry-farm. Jack married his sweetheart, Arleen Sessions, on November 5, 1938 in Ogden. They solemnized their marriage in the Ogden LDS Temple. He was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a High Priest and was a member of the South Ogden 5th Ward and a dear friend to all. Jack worked as a telegrapher for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He retired after 44 years of service with a medal of honor for his dedicated, error-free work. He was known for his positive, friendly, kind, gentle temperament and his quick sense of humor. He was a loving husband of 69 years, father and grandfather. Jack is survived by his wife, Arleen; two daughters, Jackie (Jan) Smith, Sharon (Frank) Diaz, a son, Gary (Julie) Dockter, and a sister, Martha (Francis) Call, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
