Jack M. Larsen
LAYTON - Jack M. Larsen passed away peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by all those who loved him deeply, on the 24th of October 2012.
Jack was born on the 13th of February 1920 to Lige and Edna Larsen. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He was a WWII vet and participated in the “Raid of Okinawa”. He married Donna Mann on February 12th 1950. They were blessed with five children; Mark (Lisa) Larsen, Kathy (Dave) Unck, John (Patti) Larsen, Pam (Mike) Rathburn and Leisa (Scott) Eichmeier. They were also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Jack spent 27 years in the Ogden / Weber County police force and retired in 1978 at the rank of Captain. He also loved cars and owned his own car lot for many years. Jack also attended Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. Jack loved watching boxing, playing cards, reading, fishing, and golfing. Jack and Donna have spent the last 20 years enjoying retirement life in the Tucson area where they were active in Catholic Senior Community activities where they have many friends.
On November 2, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., there will be a viewing followed by a vigil, rosary and celebration of his life at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. On Saturday November 3, 2012 at 1 p.m., a funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton, UT.
