LAYTON – Jack C. Pevey went PCS on May 30, 2014 but this time he does not get to file a travel voucher.

Jack was born in Muskogee, OK on January 11, 1932, the son of Cecil A. and Pauline A. Wood Pevey. He was in the class of ‘52, Ogden High. Jack joined the USAF on June 13, 1952 and retired February 28, 1979. He also retired from Hill AFB; civil service in February of 1994.

Jack married Helen A. Powell April 26, 1953. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2005.

Survived by his son Jay C (Dana) Pevey, Layton; a special friend, Sandra Stallings; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Ronda and grandson, Griffin Lacy.

Graveside services will be held Saturday June 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary.
