Our loving husband, father, brother, and friend, Jack E. Stimpson, 82, passed away at home on October 30, 2013. Jack was born on July 25, 1931 to John E. and Ariel Stimpson in St. Anthony, Idaho.
Jack was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Plain City.
He graduated from Weber High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953.
Jack married Shirley Ann Mayer on September 3, 1952 and was married for 61 wonderful years.
He worked as a steel worker at Ogden Iron Works and then Jetways Systems for nearly 50 years. He loved working on the farm and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jack is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Stimpson; and his three children: son, Chris Stimpson; daughter, Sheri A. Barahona; and daughter, Cozette S. Stimpson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Ariel Stimpson; and his brother, Lorin J. Stimpson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
