September 1, 1932 ~ June 7, 2016
Jacqueline (Jackie) Moon Morris Baddley, our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away on June 7, 2016, at the age of 83.
Jackie was born September 1, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Sybella Moon and John Reese Morris, the oldest of 4 children. Jackie spent most of her life in Ogden, Utah graduating from Ogden High School and attended BYU.
On August 20, 1954, she married Brent DeGrey Baddley in the Salt Lake Temple.
Jackie cherished her family and loved to gather them together for parties and special events. Many of these family events have become treasured family traditions that have continued for over thirty years. These family traditions remain an important part of her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives and will continue for generations to come.
When her children were older, Jackie began working at the IRS in Ogden. Beginning as a seasonal employee, Jackie’s intelligence and leadership helped her progress quickly in the organization, where she became a division chief managing a department of over 300 employees.
Jackie made friends everywhere she went. She belonged to the Junior League of Ogden, a “lunch club” and multiple book clubs. She and Brent, with lifelong friends, were part of a study group that met monthly for over 50 years. Jackie and Brent loved to travel and, together with friends traveled to many parts of the world.
Jackie was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, serving in Cub Scouts, Primary, Young Woman’s and Relief Society organizations and presidencies. She was a gifted teacher and truly understood the principle of service.

Thank you to the new friends mom met at Mountain Ridge – your friendship helped mom during difficult times. Lastly, our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the wonderful church leaders at the Sky Ridge branch whose love and compassionate service brightened our mom’s days.
