Jackie Cracroft Oram

November 9, 1949 ~ January 14, 2015

Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend, lost a long fierce battle with emphysema and COPD after 26 years on January 14, 2015.

Jackie was born in Ely, Nevada on November 9, 1949, to Maxine and Melvin Cracroft.  She was the youngest of four sisters, Connie Courtney, Carol Buckles, and Sharon Rynes.

Jackie was born again Baptist with a passion for her church.  Everyone that touched her life, left with a knowing essence of her being.  Jackie also was a firecracker; she always wore her heart on her sleeve.  Within five minutes you would know where she stood “good or bad”.  She would always invite you back into her home, no matter the outcome, and that was her strongest attribute, her heart and the love for her family that carried her through hardship and hard times.  Jackie loved all of her pet companions most of all, Bridgette, Hookah, Lando, and Missy.  A wise man once said, a rich man has nothing, but the poor man has everything.  What Jackie lacked in worldly possessions, was wealthy in love for her family and friends.

A special thanks to Kathy Gurule for the help and joy and providing longevity and happiness and love until her final breath.

Jackie is survived by her twin sons, Richard and Jason; her daughter, Russa; her grandchildren, Athena, Brandon, Damian, Daniel, Kathen, Raiden, and Tyler; and endless nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Don’t cry because it ended, smile because it happened.

Rest in peace Jackie you will be eternally missed.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2 p.m at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park at a later date.
