Jacob Daniel Bradshaw passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born July 30, 1980 in Layton, Utah to Timothy Kyle and Cara Henzi Bradshaw
Jake, an Eagle Scout, graduated from Layton High School in 1999. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a full-time mission in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Jake married his sweetheart, Stephanie Bingham, in the Bountiful Temple on July 2, 2004. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University and was employed at the University of Utah for the last five years.
Jake enjoyed the outdoors and spent time hiking, biking, fishing, camping and traveling, but more than anything else, he enjoyed being with his family. He loved to play the piano and guitar and he liked using duct tape for just about anything.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie and their children Samuel and Cassandra; his parents, brother Dallas (Alyssa) Bradshaw and sisters Ashlee (John) Barnhill and Ragen Bradshaw; his grandmother Phyllis Bradshaw; parents-in-law Mike and Kathi Bingham and brother-in-law Chris Bingham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son AJ, grandparents Walt and Beth Henzi, and grandfather Charles Bradshaw. Jake was loved by all his family and his multitude of friends. He touched the lives of all he met with his infectious laugh and, even though he had so many health struggles, he epitomized enduring to the end.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center for the kind and compassionate care they provided.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Layton Hills Stake Center, 2300 University Park Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an account in Jacob’s name at Mountain America Credit Union, or a gofundme.com account in his name.
“Steph, I love you, always and forever.”
