Jacqueline Beryl Felt Shaw
September 19, 1938 ~ November 16, 2015
Monday, November 16, 2015, Jacqueline Beryl Felt Shaw returned home to her Heavenly Father peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family. She was warmly welcomed to heaven by son, Mitchell Clair Shaw, and daughter, Stephanie Lynn Shaw Leo. Jackie was born on September 19, 1938 to John and Myrtle Felt. She was one of eight sisters.
Jackie married Clair J. Shaw, the love of her life on June 5, 1957. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by President David O. McKay. They lived in Liberty for 58 years. In their time, Jackie and Clair were famous for their dancing expertise.
Jackie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she taught Relief Society and served in numerous callings in the church. Jackie was a true disciple of Christ. Her testimony of Christ never wavered. It was her belief in Christ which gave her strength to overcome her trials, to love unconditionally, and to serve with compassion.
Jackie was a dedicated and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She cherished her family. Jackie enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting, baking, and cooking. Jackie was famous for her delectable canned salsa, potato soup, and cozy knit stockings. She loved walking on her spirit mountain.
Survived by her beloved husband, Clair J. Shaw; children, Julie (Greg) Duke, Kelly (Mareena) Shaw, and Becky Lincoln; 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Lynn Leo and son, Mitchell Clair Shaw.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Liberty 1st Ward, 4279 North 3300 East. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Liberty Cemetery.
