James Don Arrowsmith

CLEARFIELD a€" James Don Arrowsmith, 83, passed away March 10, 2008 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.

He was born April 27, 1924 in Ogden, Utah the son of Wilford Chase and Arvilla Pickett Arrowsmith.

He married Lois Elizabeth Graham in February 1948 in California. She preceded him in death on January 21, 1999.

James served in the Navy during World War II.

James was a member of the LDS Church.

He liked singing in choirs at the senior citizen center in Kaysville, oil painting, leather and woodworking.

Surviving are his son, Donald Lloyd (Kathy) Arrowsmith, Clinton; two daughters, Nancy (Scott) VanAllen, Ogden; Billie (John) Tanner, Idaho Falls, ID; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Betty Jensen.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois, daughter Elaine Hansen, a great-grandson and two brothers Robert and Billy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield. Friends and family may call Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden.
