James M. Clark

James M. Clark left our world on Thursday, July 30, 2009.

He was born July 2, 1950 in Pocatello, Idaho to Gordon Shepherd and Betty Bowman Clark. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1968.

Jim served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Vietnam War and returned with an honorable discharge.

He was employed at Hill Air Force Base from November 1978 to September 2007, when he retired as a supervisor, in the Aircraft Maintenance Group.

Jim was an honorable, caring, generous and supportive man. He sought to help, and he truly changed the lives of the people he helped. He was great to talk with about life''s adventures and worries, he always had interesting thoughts and experiences to share.

How do we sum up a man into a few lines of text to express to the world that a great treasure has been lost? How do we convey the amount of love and humanity this person had? How do we express how great and wonderful this precious man truly was? He showed us love, respect and genuine kindness. He is one of the greatest men we have ever known. In the time that we were blessed to know him, we saw him go through many life changes. He challenged his own beliefs and looked for truth. Jim was not a stagnant man, he was a man of great courage, stubborn determination and of genuine character.

Jim is survived by two daughters, Shonelle (Bryan) Charlton, Jennifer (Brad) Young; a step-son, Adam Lee Stephens, whom he raised as his own; grandchildren, Rylee Stephens, Tanner Stephens, Sierra Charlton and one on the way; his mother, Betty Drummond; his siblings, Sandy Schmidt, Lee Clark, Mike Clark, Paul Clark, Kathryn Clark and Kevin Clark. He is also survived by countless friends and people that Jim''s life touched including, Karen Clark and Viviane Nance.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 6th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Funeral Directors, Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary.
