James Darrell Cook

James "Jim" Darrell Cook, 66, passed away November 27, 2007 at his home in Bountiful, Utah, due to cancer caused by exposure to Agent Orange during his service in the Vietnam War He was born April 28, 1941 in Roy, Utah the son of Jesse and Ruth Hamblin Cook. Married Karen Allen later divorced, married Anita Watson later divorced, married Linda McReynolds Mittelstaedt, March 5, 1986. Jim served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of C & S Auto in Bountiful. Jim enjoyed fly fishing, photography, and ATV riding, but most of all he was an awesome grandfather and loved being with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter Elizabeth Tucker; step- children Rick (Gillian) Mittelstaedt, John (Megan) Mittelstaedt, Susan (Steve) Devey, David Mittelstaedt, Anna (Corey) Francis, Stephen (Lisa) Mittelstaedt, Isaac (Sarah) Mittelstaedt, son-in-law Ed Quick; 16 grandchildren and his best friend Doug Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara (Ray) Frost, Jean (Larry) Campbell, and Elaine (Rich) Allen. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kristine Quick. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm and Saturday 12:45 – 1:45 pm prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery with military honors.
