James E. Crawford

James E. Crawford HARRISVILLE - James Eugene Crawford, age 75, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 23, 2009. He is finally free from the frailty of his mind and body. Jim was born August 19, 1933 in Carrolton, Georgia to Warren James Crawford and Pearl Jones. He attended school in Carrolton, Georgia and Weber State College, Ogden, Utah. He married Kay Francis on January 7, 1956 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Ogden, Utah. Jim served four years in the United States Air force during the Korean War Conflict. After 33 years of service, he retired from Hill Air Force Base as Branch Chief of Aircraft Quality. He received many awards for outstanding performance during his career. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Jim was a former member of the Ogden Elks, Eagles, and HAFB Officers Club. He served as a volunteer at St. James Catholic Church for several years during Jingo. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Jim is survived by his wife, Kay, two daughters, Kelly (Zan) Crawford-Treasure, Cindy (Steve) Lund, two grandsons, Danny and Tony Rogers, one granddaughter, Bailee Kay Lund, four step grandsons, Shawn, Nick, Jordan (Angie) and Chris (Keri) Treasure, two step great-granddaughters, Addie and London Treasure. He is also survived by his brother, Larry (Joan) Crawford of Auburn, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the mortuary, and also at 9:45-10:45 a.m. before the funeral. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family wishes thank Hospice for Utah; Lisa, Linda, Dr. Holland and my special angels who so lovingly took care of Jim, Andrea, Debbie, Tammie, Maggie, and Megan. Also thanks to Dr. Abdulla and staff for all their years of care for Jim.
