Captains Log, Stardate 072616
Our beloved brother, son, nephew, father, grandfather and friend, James Gerard Hinderliter, set sail among the stars on his last mission to explore the final frontier.
He was born in Orange, California on June 16, 1968 to Terry and Lillian Hinderliter. He graduated from Twenty-nine Palms High School and joined the Navy from 1986-1996.
He worked on Hill Air Force Base until 2009 and lived his life with his girlfriend Susan and step-daughter Tiffany. He was an avid model collector and amassed a collection of nearly 700 models. He loved flying his RC helicopters and was a diehard fan of anything Star Wars or Star Trek. He loved cats and loved many that he called his “babies.”
He is survived by his daughter Rebecca and her sons, Corey and Aiden, brother Michael, sister Paula, father Terry and step-mother Barbara, step-daughter Tiffany, who affectionately call him “Daddy Bonehead,” step-daughter Wanda and her son TJ.
“Out of all the souls I’ve encountered in my travels, his was the most…. Human”
