James Charles Hoellein

James Charles Hoellein, 64, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on December 22, 1951 in Ogden, Utah, the son of William George and Elizabeth Hanna Hansen Hoellein. He grew up and lived his entire life in Ogden. James graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1970, received his Associate Degree in Nursing in 1976; his BS in Zoology in 1979 from Weber State College and after being a Licensed Practical Nurse became a Registered Nurse.
He married Joanne Dee Hetzel on August 20, 1974 in Ogden, Utah. They had one daughter and later divorced.
James worked for over 45 years for Intermountain Healthcare in the Heart Institute as the Director of Heart and Vascular Institute at McKay Dee Hospital.
He loved skiing, golfing, fishing, and traveling.
James is survived by his daughter, Brittnee Hoellein ( M. Brett) McMickell, Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughter, Isobel Rose McMickell; and brothers, William (Diane) Hoellein, Michael Hoellein, Steven (Kathy) Hoellein, and Stanley (Kaye) Hoellein.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
