James "Jimmy" Marion Young

James “Jimmy” Marion Young, 63, passed away peacefully from cancer in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born on March 15, 1961, to James Marchant and Ina Marie Redford Young.

Jimmy graduated from Canyon View Special Schools an education for those with special needs and  handicap.

He was kind and compassionate and enjoyed helping others. He loved his family and extended family and kept multiple pictures of them in his home. He loved music, fishing, and hunting with his dad as a boy.

Jimmy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Ina; three brothers and one sister, Daniel Young, Ray (Sonya) Young, Annette (Bradley) Wood, and Jerod Arthur; stepsister, Michelle (Nick) Vlohos and Charmayne (George) Roberts, and stepbrother, Mike Marcus. He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, and two sets of grandparents.

The family would like to thank a special friend, Debbie Liphim; and Applegate Homecare and Hospice, Sarah, Mike, Rhonda, Nicole, Dan, and Dr. Farmsworth for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
