James H. Johnson LAYTON – James Herman Johnson, 59, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at his home in Layton. He was born August 18, 1947 in Ogden, a son of Gerald J. and Della Turner Johnson. He graduated from Bonneville High School and attended Weber State College. In September of 1968, James married Kenna Nebeker in Layton. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. James worked as a production scheduler at Hill Air Force Base retiring after 38 years of service. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin or taking care of the pool. Jim loved gadgets, electronics and gardening. Surviving are his wife Kenna, of Layton; two sons and three daughters, Jimmy (Jessica) Johnson, and Scott (Hannah) Johnson, both of Layton; Christy (Jim), Kilburn, South Weber; Tammy (Justin) Robbins, Syracuse; Debbie Bircumshaw, Layton; and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, Joe (Kay) Johnson, Rick (Colleen) Johnson, Terry (Bonnie) Johnson, and Geri (Alan) Heninger. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Email condolences to the family at lom@lindquistmortuary.com
