James Leonard Lamb, father, grandpa and great-grandpa died Saturday, February 26, 2011, of causes incident to age.
He was born October 27, 1920 in Weakley County, Tennessee to Arthur and Vera Tuck Lamb. He was raised and educated in Weakley County, attending Dresden School.
On June 28, 1941, James married Mary Alice Barber. They lived in the country on a farm by Dresden, Tennessee, where they raised their son, James. After their son graduated from Dresden High School, they moved to Louisville, Kentucky and resided there for 50 years.
He loved gardening and grew fruit trees and vegetables.
James is survived by his son, James R. Lamb, a sister, Lorene Dilday, two grandchildren, Heather Hartley, Heidi Quattlebaum, and two great-grandchildren, Rickey Blu and Texie Belle Quattlebaum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister and a brother.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 8th at 2 p.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West.
The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
