James Rowland Lewis

James Lewis, 79, was born December 1, 1935 in Porterville, Utah, the son of Elmer R. and Edith Casey Lewis.  He passed from this life into the next on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.  Though mentally handicapped, he loved his family, friends and associates and deeply appreciated all love and kindness shown to him.  He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.  We rejoice with him as he is now lifted to a perfect state, and smile within as we contemplate his joyous reunion with parents, siblings and beloved ancestors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Eskil Lewis; sister, Margie Lewis Jones; and sister, Ellaree Lewis.  He is survived by his brother, Ralph C. Lewis.

Friends may visit family on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. A graveside service will follow at the South Morgan Cemetery at 3 p.m.
