James Neil Lund

James Neil Lund was called home on April 9, 2022. He suffered from Alzheimer’s and died of natural causes. Jim was born in Westwood California on May 28, 1925, to Floyd K. Lund and Adelia Young. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War.
He married LuGene Sherman on August 17, 1950, in the Manti Temple. Together, they had four children, Debie (Dean) Wangsgard, Barry (Jodi) Lund, Mark Lund, and Sheri (Tim) Postel. Jim has 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many loved grand-dogs.
Jim was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in various callings and in the Bishopric of the Lorin Farr 6th Ward.
He loved the outdoors, playing golf, skiing, running, walking the dog, and maintaining his yard.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife LuGene, his parents, two brothers, a sister, and a daughter-in-law.
We would like to thank the staff at Pheasant Run, for the phenomenal care given to our father while he was there.
In Jim’s honor a graveside service will be held for family and friends on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 North Monroe Park. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
