James Carl Martin

James Carl Martin (JC) passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 after a four month battle in the hospital due to complications of surgery.

He was born December 23, 1930 in Fort Pierce, Florida. There he entered the Korean War in 1948 where he served his country for two years.

JC became a business owner after getting his business degree in Chicago. He loved to travel and experienced living in many places.

He loved to go boating and camping with his wife, Michelle Martin of 26 years and his family. He also loved working in the yard and cooking gourmet meals, but most of all, he loved his family and doing anything he could to make them happy.

JC will be deeply missed by his wife, three daughters, son-in-law, five grandchildren and many friends, not to mention his dog, Sammy.

The family would like to give special thanks to the ICU and IMC staff at McKay Dee Hospital for taking such great care of him.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
