James "Marty" Martin Rhees

James Martin “Marty” Rhees passed away on Saturday July 13, 2024 at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born October 16, 1979 in Layton, Utah to Melvin Janus (Jim) Rhees and Linda Mann. He was a resident of Clearfield, Utah.

 He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 Marty enjoyed online gaming and reading.

 He is survived by his mother Linda, brother Michael Austin Rhees, sister, Kelly Sue Rhees, nephews; Evan Michael Rhees, Richard Austin Rhees, nieces, nephews, Rhees family aunts, uncles and cousins, Mann Family aunts, uncles and cousins.

 Marty was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jim Rhees, grandmother Vallie Larsen Rhees and grandfather, Melvin Horace Rhees.

 The family would like to thank the ICU Staff at St. Mark’s Hospital for all their care and help that was given to Marty.

  A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday July 25, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.

 Interment will be held Friday July 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, Utah.
