James D. Mikesell

James D. Mikesell, 85, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016.  He was the son of Ray and Dorothy Wade Mikesell, born on April 10, 1931 in Salt Lake City.  James lived most of his life in Ogden where he graduated from Ogden High School class of 1949.  From 1949 to 1955 James served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.

James married Nancy Hilbish on July 8, 1955 in Ogden, Utah.  They were married 58 years before Nancy passed away on June 25, 2014.

He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, and a smooth scotch and a fine cigar.

James is survived by his son, James D. Jr. (Jodi) Mikesell, Farr West; daughters, Holly (John) Morris, Las Vegas, NV and Laura (Patrick) Clark, Ogden; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Ray Mikesell, UT; Dale Mikesell, UT; and Boyd Mikesell, AZ.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; parents, brothers, Robert Mikesell and Harry Mikesell.

An open house will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Mikesell home, 1027 East 625 North, Ogden, UT 84404.
