James Openshaw Jr

James Francis Openshaw Jr., 72, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013.

He was born June 3, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana the son of James F. Openshaw Sr. and Virginia Dart Openshaw. He was reared and educated in Indiana and attended Purdue University.

James married Kyoko Nakamura in 1963.

James retired from the United States Air Force as MSgt after 24 years. He served in Vietnam and traveled throughout the world.

He enjoyed watching car racing.

Surviving are his wife Kyoko, twin granddaughters, Savanah, Sierra and brother Chuck Lucterhand.

Preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Jerry, Gary and sister Judy Donahue.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
