James Sauerbreit

1934 – 2018

Our beloved father James “Jim” Sauerbreit, 83, passed away on July 5, 2018 in Holladay, Utah.

A small family memorial was held on July 7, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah where we shared treasured memories of our loving father.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date in Colorado.

Jim was born in Brush, Colorado on September 19, 1934.  He was the second of three children born to Alex and Florence Sauerbreit.  He graduated from Brush High School in 1954 and then attended the University of Northern Colorado before joining the Navy in 1955.  After leaving the Navy, he pursued a career in banking and finance.

Jim was an avid lover of the outdoors.  He enjoyed spending his time camping, swimming, and golfing.  He also had a passion for ships and often built model ships in his free time.

Jim is survived by his three children:  Stacy Sauerbreit-Guerrero (Gene), Doug Sauerbreit (Diane), and Brittany Sauerbreit; as well as three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Florence, his brother William, and his sister Marjorie.

He will be greatly missed by his family.
