LAYTON - James Luke Scarbrough, 28, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, moved on to the next life on August 14, 2008. James is survived by his wife of nine years, Dalina; his son, James Dan "JJ" (6); daughter, Mariah (1); mother, Deborah J. Smith; father, Dan R. Scarbrough; two brothers, Dan L. and Jared; and three sisters, Jean Britton, Dottie Lima, and Jessica Clayton.

James was born June 29, 1980, in Provo, the fifth of six children. Friends and neighbors in his home town of American Fork remember him as a mischievous boy with lots of energy and a sense of adventure.

James was a kind, good-natured man, always quick with a joke and a smile, and always willing to help out. He worked hard for his family as an entrepreneur who started his own long-distance trucking business, spending long hours and days on the road.

When he wasn''t working, James enjoyed riding motorcycles, four-wheeling, fishing, and being around friends and family.

James passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Fort Lane Ward, 1401 No. Fort Lane, Layton. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the James L. Scarbrough Memorial Fund. Donations may be sent to, or dropped off at, any America First Credit Union branch.

James, we love you, and you will be missed dearly.
