James Lee Schow, 59, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011.
He was born November 7, 1951 in Preston, Idaho to Ernest Jeppesen and Dorma McDermott Schow. He married Diane Johnson in Reno, Nevada on February 16, 1979.
He graduated from Ogden High School in 1971 and went on to tech school. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent time in the Army Reserve.
Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and granddaughter. He enjoyed genealogy, photography, golf, and trains.
Jim is survived by his wife, a son, James (Annamarie), a daughter, Melanie, and granddaughter, Phenley. He is also survived by three brothers, Michael Schow, Lawrence "Lonnie" (Marsha) Schow, Jeffrey (Lisa) Schow, and three sisters, Loretta (John) Field, Diane (Charles) Aiello, and Cheryl (Lawrence) Archuleta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ernest Reid Schow.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45 a" 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
