James Robert Tappero
1963 ~ 2011
SUNSET a" James Robert Tappero ended his captivity of ALS (Lou Gerhigs Disease) on Monday, September 26, 2011.
He was born September 26, 1963 in Ogden, to James Anthony and Ann Manning Tappero. He was raised in Sunset and Roy. He married Lisa Anne Thomas on November 29, 1997. They were later sealed in the LDS Temple.
He worked for Politwine Western as a forklift driver for many years and later for Gardenburger as a warehouse supervisor.
He had a tremendous zest for life, even while in the midst of this horrible disease. His passions were: nature photography, camping, hiking, backpacking, food, football, racing and music. He loved his family especially his 11 nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his wife of Sunset; his parents of Roy; a sister, ToniAnn (Tappero) Smith of Roy; Uncle Robert and Aunt Sheryl Manning of Star Valley, WY; a cousin Lindsey Manning of Phoenix, AZ; his nieces and nephews and in-laws, Mike and Laura Thomas of Roy.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Toni and Esther Tappero, Robert and Mildred Manning, and a cousin Bowdy Manning.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
