James “Jim” D. Tasker
December 25, 1933 ~ January 3, 2021
James “Jim” D. Tasker passed away January 3, 2021. Jim was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1933. He would then come to Utah where he later met the love of his life Sandra Frost whom he married on July 25, 1968. They resided in Utah for 37 years before moving their life to Idaho Falls then later moving to Nampa, Idaho.
Jim was known to be a loving family oriented man. He began working at the age of 17. Over the years he worked for and retired from, Hurco, Bourns, Fresenius and then Walmart at the age of 85.
Jim was a man who liked to get together and have a drink with family, he would share his life stories that would fascinate all who heard them and would be loved by his family for, he was very young at heart and this would shine through in his stories. Some of his other hobbies would also include fishing as well as hunting with his family. He loved most of all spending time with his wife making memories out traveling. He enjoyed many activities with his wife which included camping, fishing, gambling, watching their favorite shows and reading books. He was an excellent carpenter and had a green thumb.
Jim was an amazing father and grandfather.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Evelyn Tasker; his in-laws, Lawrence and Emma Frost; sister, Mary Povshsich; son, Jeff Wilson; son-in-law, Lester Paul Carlucci; three grandsons, Michael and Jimmy McLendon and David Wilson; two great-granddaughters, Harley Wilson and Lilac Sue Tasker. Jim leaves behind the love of his life and partner of 53 years, Sandra Tasker; his children, Beverly and Mike McLendon; Wayne and Annette Wilson; Vickie Carlucci Carlucci Cook and Walter Cook; Shelley Wilson Gonzalez and Xavier Gonzales; Scott Tasker, Terry Ann Tasker Taylor; 20 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren who loved him and will miss him greatly.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
