James Edward Taylor passed away August 20, 2013 at his home in North Salt Lake. He was born July 27, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward Robert and Lila Rodgers Taylor. He married Sharon Helen Hermanson on March 22, 1969 in Parma, Ohio.
He received his Bachelor''s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Tri-State University and ultimately became the Chief Information Officer for Spectrum Field Services. For most of his life, Jim and his wife lived in the Cleveland, Ohio area. They have lived in North Salt Lake for the last four years.
Jim joined the LDS Church in 1987 and was sealed to his family on August 19, 1991 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served as an ordinance worker at the Bountiful Temple. What he enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family. He is so loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; son Brigham John Taylor (Kelly); daughter Christie Sue Empey (Mark); seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Kayci, Brigham Jr. Nicholas, Evie, Miles and Violet; brother, Tim Taylor (Ann); sister, Kim Saefkow (Dave). Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Foxboro 3rd Ward, 875 West Foxboro Drive, North Salt Lake. Friends may visit the family on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful and from 11:30-12:30 prior to the service at the church.
