James Douglas Taylor passed away at age 73 at his home, surrounded by his family on October 26, 2012. He was born July 1, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to Harold Joseph Taylor and Anna Mary Van Noy Taylor. On Oct. 5, 1962 he married Judith Arlene Tatro in Las Vegas, NV.
He graduated from college with a degree in business. After retiring from Milwaukee Electric Tool, Doug became an active member of the Ogden Exchange Club. He was an avid outdoors man who loved skiing, golf and fly-fishing but most of all he loved entertaining his friends and family at his cabin in the Uintas or at his home in Layton, Utah.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Judy, two daughters and a son: Carolyn (Mark) Dunn, Mark Taylor, and Susan (Brian) Boley; five grandchildren: Jamie Taylor, Haley Dunn, Madison Taylor, Justin Boley, Mason Boley; three brothers: Bill Taylor, Clark Taylor, and Joe ( Kim) Taylor, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday Oct 30, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary.
