James Wallace Patterson

James Wallace Patterson passed away quietly on August 24, 2016. He was born on June 9, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dolores Archer and Jim William Patterson. Jim served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969. He was stationed in Germany where he installed, operated, and repaired microwave fixed station and transportable radio equipment.
Jim grew up in SLC where he did construction work before moving to Park City. There he worked in the ski industry and volunteered with the Park City Annual Arts Festival. He was part of the Park City Hall face lift team. He later moved to Francis where he spent many years installing and servicing hot tubs. He enjoyed river kayaking and lending a helping hand to anyone needing help. Jim was known for his honesty and hard work.
Jim is survived by his brother, Donald Archer Patterson of Half Moon Bay, California and two nieces, Heather Patterson of Vistavia Hills, Alabama and Karissa Laughter of Vienna, Austria.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. N St. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
