James Yonemura
OGDEN - James Yonemura passed away during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the age of 95.
He was born March 18, 1917, in Sumner, Washington and was the third son of Rokusuka and Asoyo Yonemura’s eight children.
Dad married our mother, Mary Hayashida in 1945 and they lived their lives in Ogden, Utah until her passing in 1998. Though he continued to live in their Washington Terrace home for a number of years, his last few were spent at the Emeritus Estates in North Ogden.
From 1942 to 1946, he was enlisted in the US Army. After discharge, he worked at the Clearfield Naval Depot and subsequently, Hill Air Force Base, where he retired in 1974.
Wanting to spend time in the public sector, he enjoyed an additional 14 years working part time in the South Ogden Sears paint department.
