Jane Evlyn Howard 

1925-2014

Jane Evlyn Howard 89, passed from this earth Tuesday, July 22, 2014 with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.  She was born in Alexandria Bay, New York to Arthur and Ruth LeFebvre on July 2, 1925.  She moved to California with her mother in 1930 and met the love of her life, William A. Howard Sr. in 1944 at the Long Beach Pike.  They eloped 2 weeks later and were married for 69 years.  Jane was a convert and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She was sealed in the Los Angeles Temple to William in 1970.  They retired to Tillamook, Oregon then moved to Utah for their remaining 9 years.

Jane was a fiery redhead and sang on the radio during WWII, her voice was a knock out.  She shared her love of music and enthusiasm for reading with her family.  She was a homemaker, crafter and master gardener.  Mom had a zany sense of humor and was a practical joker.  She loved poetry, singing in the car and drives on Pacific Coast Highway.  She found joy in rambunctious summers with her grandchildren, sitting on the porch swing holding hands with daddy and reminiscing.  Thanks for all the wonderful memories Mama.

Jane had 4 children; Chari Sutherland (Mickey), William Howard Jr (Sandy), Karen Dean (Jimmy) and Kelly Howard; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband William Howard, daughter Chari Sutherland, son-in-law Mickey Sutherland and grandson William Perkins.
