Jane V. Jeppson
Jane V. Jeppson, 95, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2011. Jane was born June 24, 1916 in Murray, the daughter of Stephan and Maria Vicchrilli.
She was raised and educated in Murray, graduating from Murray High School. She furthered her education at Holy Cross School of Nursing, graduating in 1938 becoming a registered nurse.
Jane worked as an intern at Bushnell General Hospital in Brigham City where she met her future husband, Glen. Jane and Glen S. Jeppson were married on July 24, 1941 in North Hollywood, California. She also worked as an R.N. at Cooley Memorial Hospital in Brigham City and St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden. She retired from Federal Service, working at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital and Civilian Dispensary during the final years of her career.
Our beloved mother and grandmother was known for her generous spirit. She was a kind, gentle person who always found time for her daughters and grandchildren. She had a special love of animals, owning and caring for them throughout her life.
Jane was a wonderful cook who baked her own bread and rolls. She was famous for her homemade spaghetti and meatball dinners. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, and gardening. From her garden she made wonderful jams, fruit leathers, and other treats enjoyed by her family. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, and boating. She loved spending time with her husband and family at their cabin overlooking Pineview Reservoir. After Jane and Glen retired, they traveled to Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and many other places.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet (Rod) Lilly, Roy; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Sam Vicchrilli, and two sisters, Julia Markham and Mary Stauffer, all of Murray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Patricia Fullmer; an infant son, Gary Bruce Jeppson; three brothers, Tony, Joe and Mike Vicchrilli; and sister Adeline Pelletier.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
