Jane Lorray Rockwell Knowlton

Jane Lorray Rockwell Knowlton passed away on March 26, 2013. She was born on August 24, 1923 to Russell and Monida Rockwell.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1941 and then graduated as an RN from the Dee Hospital of Nursing in 1949. She also worked at Montana State Hospital and Bushnell Army Hospital in the mid 1940''s.

Jane married Richard Knowlton on November 20, 1950. He remained by her side providing continuous care until the end. They were best friends for 62 years. They had 3 children, Cathy, Rick and John who gave them 11 grandchildren and blessed them with 9 great-grandchildren.

She was a Christian. She was also a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club.

She loved to read and take trips to Wendover. She took pleasure in tending to the flowers in her garden.

Jane is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, COL Richard Jr., US Army; and John, Layton; daughter, Janet Cathy, Salem, Oregon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jack; and was proud of her 5 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, John and Lillian Brown; and siblings, Jerry and Charlene.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
